The Great Reversal

In Luke 6, Jesus teaches a concept known as The Great Reversal, which signifies that God's kingdom values often stand in stark contrast to those of earthly kingdoms. This concept appears throughout the Gospel of Luke, with the beatitudes and woes bringing it to light. Jesus declares that the poor, the hungry, those who weep, and those persecuted for His name's sake are blessed. Conversely, He issues a warning to the rich and well-fed, implying that those who think they don't need God are in danger. Our Lord cautions those who mock the less fortunate, as well as those who preach a false Gospel that tickles people's ears. So I challenge you: How can you recognize your need for the Lord this week and strive to hunger and thirst for Him?

God Bless,
Pastor Brandon
